How To Use The Forums Welcome to the WannaBeAKiwi.com Forums. There are many options available to you throughout this website, as well as these forums. We welcome you to read “How To Use This Site” to get familiar with all that’s available within our entire website, together with the following information to assist you in navigating your way through the Forums. Getting Started:- Become a Member of the Forums.
- Update your Personal Profile in the User Control Panel, instructions on this can be found in How To Use the User Control Panel.
FRONT PAGE Forum Posts:- Visit posts on Forums, some of these may include valuable information on immigration, schools, moving to New Zealand, NZ terms and definitions, Jobs etc.
- Simply click on the Forum Title (i.e. “Schools”), followed by the thread title (i.e. “Public Schools in New Zealand”) you would like to read.
- You can post your own thoughts on the topic/thread, or ask questions by simply clicking on “reply” within the thread screen. Other members, together with our Administrator will respond to your questions and thoughts.
- Add a new topic? Once you have clicked on a Forum Title (i.e. “Schools”), you will see threads (i.e. “Public Schools in New Zealand”) from other people’s posts, including from Admin. You may wish to start a new topic; you can do this by clicking on the Forum Title, followed by “New Topic”. You may then write your post and click “Submit New Thread” for your post to appear within the Forum.
Jobs:- Jobs. To seek positions available in New Zealand, please click on the Forum Title “Jobs”. You will see a list of all jobs available on the site, simply click on the Description for each position to find out more, and apply for the position.
- List a Job? Simply click on “Jobs” followed by “New Listing Information”. Follow the form to be completed and submit. Please read all introductions and descriptions outlining process for setting up a Job Listing.
- Post Curriculum Vitae (CV). Members may post summary of their CV within the Post CV Forum. This will allow employers to find you and contact you for your full CV to be forwarded to them. Please note that for security reasons we do allow for members to post their actual full CV or personal details on the site. We request that members only give out their details within our website and employers may email there.
- To Post CV Summary. Simply click on Forum “Post Curriculum Vitae/Find Applicants”. Click on “New Listing Information”. Please read all introductions and descriptions will instructions on how to post your summary.
- Create a CV. A FREE Curriculum Vitae template may be downloaded from the Forum Section “Free Tools For Emigrants to NZ”, Forum Title “Curriculum Vitae Builder for Jobs in NZ”. Click on Forum Title, click on Thread Title, then download your own free CV template.
- Franchises For Sale. Similarly to the Jobs section, you may view Franchises for sale in New Zealand by clicking on the Forum Title “Franchises For Sale”. Here you will see all Franchises listed for sale on our site. You may click on each description to view more information and contact the company.

To download your very own copy of each of the above mentioned FREE Tools, simply click on the Forum Title, followed by the Thread Title and download your own copy. USER CONTROL PANEL- Instructions on User Control Panel can be found in How To Use the User Control Panel Forum.
BROWSE OUR MEMBERS- Search for members to communicate with. You can search for other members to email directly within the site (no personal details are to be given out please) by clicking on “Browse Our Members”. Here you will see listed all members of the WannaBeAKiwi.com Forums.
- Advanced Search for members who speak your language or come from your country of origin. You may seek out members who specifically speak the same language as you, or may come from your home country or a specific country of interest to you. Simply follow the steps of previous point, followed by clicking on the far right option in the black menu bar “Search Members”, followed by clicking on “Advanced Search”. Within the Advanced Search, you may search for other members based on specific search criteria and all relevant members will appear. Here you can click on the user’s name and view their profile. You may email within the website from here.
- Friend Request. You can send a request to another member of the forums, to become “friends” this will mean that the recipient of your request can choose to accept your friend request or deny. When friends have been accepted, these friends may write to each other within the site directly and view each other’s photo albums.
View Calendar/Events- With the View Calendar section you can view events happening in different cities throughout New Zealand. These events may include city council events, Latin American events, or any cultural event.
- You may also Add an Event by clicking on the Add Event option and entering your event’s details. In adding an event, please ensure that the event is for families and not to involve any “inappropriate” material or scenes that may offend people under the age of 18. Should such events be posted, our Administrator will moderate and delete events, and reserves the right to ban members who post such materials.
Search Forums- You may search our forums for a particular topic of your choice. Simply click on Search Forums and add the description or word of the topic you are wanting to find out about i.e. schools. A list will appear with all related posts and threads within our forums.
Contact Administrator- The Site Administrator may be contacted by emailing: Admin@WannaBeAKiwi.com or with Skype: “Wanna.Be.A.Kiwi.Ltd”. Or by posting within our website. We will endeavor to reply as soon as possible. We welcome your questions and comments and hope that we can assist you with emigrating happily to New Zealand.
